Python is a real programming language used to build games, apps, websites, artificial intelligence, and data systems. It is one of the most widely used coding languages in the world.
Python helps students build logical thinking, sequencing, and problem-solving skills that directly support math, science, and overall academic learning. By learning how to break down multi-step problems, follow precise instructions, and correct mistakes in their code, students strengthen their ability to think critically, work more carefully, and become more confident learners in school.
Our class is designed for Grades 6-8. No prior experience in coding or programming is required, students will learn everything from Object Oriented Programming, Data structures to game design through a step-by-step supportive environment lead by a qualified programmer.
Yes, there will be some homework, but it’s not intensive. Assignments help reinforce what students learned in class and usually take 30-60 minutes to complete. In addition, there will take home projects and assignments.
The class will include lessons that covers the basics of computer science with emphasis on object oriented programming and we will explore topics on data structures. Paired with this lesson will be projects and assignments relevant to coursework.
Only if you want to! All materials and technology will be provided at Ace Academy. Students will have access to laptops, mouses, and design tools during class time.
