Meet Our Teachers

Ms. Sophie holds a Master’s in Education from Harvard University and is a certified New York State teacher. She specializes in SAT, SHSAT, and state test prep, with a strong track record of helping students gain confidence and achieve impactful academic growth. Known for her clear explanations and student-centered approach, she creates structured, engaging sessions tailored to each learner’s needs. Her goal is to foster a positive, focused environment where students build lasting skills and a genuine love for learning.

Ms. Christy holds a Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Teachers College, Columbia University, and is a certified Childhood Education teacher in New York State. She completed her student teaching in an elementary DOE school and has experience tutoring students in ELA, math, and writing. Her patient and engaging approach helps students stay actively involved in learning while building essential academic skills. 

Mr. Steven has over four years of teaching experience and focuses on helping students understand difficult concepts by breaking them into manageable steps. He is patient and understanding, working with each student at their own pace. In the classroom, he uses creative strategies to keep lessons engaging and students motivated. His goal is to make learning clear, approachable, and confidence-building for every student. 

Mr. Allen holds top scores on standardized tests, as well as a tutor for a variety of subjects up to a 12th grade level, including statistics, physics, chemistry, and even piano. He specializes in all standardized test prep including NY Statewide tests, SHSATs, and SATs. He is known for his detailed explanations, and keen attention to each student. His goal is to help students build strategic test taking skills, and confidence in themselves so they are able to tackle any problem.

Ms. Joyce holds years of teaching experience working with children of various ages and academic backgrounds. Whether she’s preparing students for standardized exams or guiding them through new material, she focuses on creating structure, building trust, and meeting the individual needs of each student. She is determined to help students grow both academically and personally as they work toward their goals in an enriching, comforting environment. 

Ms. Michelle holds dual Engineering degrees and has 4+ years of experience as a professional engineer. She has taught a variety of STEAM programs to students in grades 2–9, including 3D design, LEGO robotics, and block-based programming. Through project-based learning, she helps young learners develop a strong foundation in creative problem-solving and hands-on engineering, empowering them to bring their ideas to life.
